Lake Ouachita is Arkansas' largest lake and is known for its scenic beauty and clear waters. It is surrounded by the Ouachita National Forest. Lake Ouachita is a man-made lake over 45,000 acres with 1000 miles of shoreline and 200 islands. It is rated the #1 cleanest lake in the United States.

Lake Hamilton is more than 18 miles long and covers approximately 7200 acres. In the past few years it has produced 2 state-record stripers.

Stripers are a saltwater species of bass that, like salmon, run up river to spawn. They can complete their life-cycle - but not reproduce - in fresh water, which means they must be continually stocked in many Arkansas waters.
