Stephen Tsang, Associate Director, Edward S. Harkness Eye Institute, Columbia University/New York Presbyterian Hospital will give a Keynote Presentation on Transplantation of Reprogrammed Embryonic Stem Cells Improves Visual Function in a Mouse Model for Retinitis Pigmentosa at GTCbio’s 2nd Annual Ocular Disease Drug & Discovery Conference on May 27 ' 28, 2010 in Boston, MA.
Stephen Tsang will present his recent studies on retinal pigment epithelium. The highlight of his presentation will include how differentiated ES cells could become a new therapeutic approach for diseases such as age-related macular degeneration, and certain forms of retinitis pigmentosa featuring loss of retinal pigmented epithelial cells.
