Some may argue that the UEFA Champions League now offers the world’s finest feast of football if we account for the number of the world’s top players currently plying their trade across the continent of Europe. Traditionalists will argue this fact and point back to the history books with memories of Pele, Muller, Beckenbauer, Moore, Cryuff, Charlton, Zoff, Rossi, Maradona, still satisfying our memory thirst with wonderful memories of tournaments gone by. Make no mistake, ask any professional player what they would prefer, a champions league winners medal or a world cup winners medal and we think the majority of not all will give you the same answer “The World Cup”.
