If you live near a freeway, you may be two times more likely to develop atherosclerosis, a new study reported. Researchers at USC, UC Berkeley and their colleagues in Spain and Switzerland conducted a study that examined air pollution in Los Angeles and its effect on the hardening of arteries, which is related to heart disease, CBS station KCBS-TV reported.
