Newfield Partners, Hybrid cars use much of the world’s rare metal supplies as demand grows.
The ever-popular green revolution in the U.S car market may hit a stumbling block as rare metals that the cars need are becoming more and more scarce.

Car makers have be touting to Newfield Partners over the last year that hybrid cars are the future offering attractive fuel efficiency benefits, this however may cause a shortage in supply for some of the rare metals that it needs.

Sources told Newfield Partners that many of these unfamiliar metals are found in today’s gadgets in small amounts but the hybrid revolution in the U.S is sucking up supply at a dramatic rate.

Newfield Partners analysts say that this will make many of today’s leading carmakers susceptible to any shortage in supply. China is predicting a shortage in the near future especially now that global demand is increasing.

In California they are already looking to opening up an old rare metals mine as demand is expected to increase.

Experts told Newfield Partners that it is not just the hybrid car that has seen the demand for rare metals increase the introduction of wind turbines is also having an impact on demand. Much of the green technology uses rare earth metals and with the production of cars and wind turbines Newfield Partners expects the supply to suffer unless alternatives are found.

Obama is expected to fund science projects that are focused on finding sustainable green solutions, Newfield Partners feels that other world governments need to follow the U.S and to keep investing in green technology for the future well being of the world.
